PC material, also known as polycarbonate, is a colorless and transparent amorphous thermoplastic material. Its name comes from its internal CO3 group.
PC Chemical Properties
Polycarbonate is acid and oil resistant.
Polycarbonate is not resistant to ultraviolet light and strong alkalis.
PC Physical Properties
Polycarbonate is colorless and transparent, heat-resistant, impact resistant, flame retardant, and has good mechanical properties within normal usage temperatures.
Compared to polymethyl methacrylate, polycarbonate has good impact resistance, high refractive index, good processability, and UL94 V-0 flame retardant performance without the need for additives.
The disadvantage of PC is poor wear resistance. Some polycarbonate devices used for wear prone applications require special surface treatment.
PS refers to Polystyrene, a thermoplastic synthetic resin with the largest application in the electronics/electrical industry
PS: It belongs to the category of polystyrene, commonly known as hard adhesive.
The Chinese scientific name is Tong User Polystyrene,
In the plastic industry, abbreviated as PS
Main use: Used for making lampshades, instrument case covers, toys, etc.
Physical characteristics: Easy to burn, continues to burn after leaving the open flame, softens and bubbles during combustion, and the flame is orange yellow, producing a thick black smoke and carbon beam, and producing a special odor of styrene monomer
